MovieDemo.com MetaCafe Review: We have become disenchanted with Metacafe as of late. We'll upload our videos and then it will be rejected. The reason it states; Copyright infringement. While we appreciate their caution we have sent a few request to have it corrected. The first request we received and email back after a few days, tell us to email them the url in question. erh um, since it was rejected there is no url to send. We sent an email that never was addressed. So gave up on / forgot about that.
Our next upload was a skit we had done. Again rejected because of the above reason. This time we posted a detailed letter explaining who we are, how to verify the account, what video was in question... basically spelled it all out. Our response back was the same as the first time. Please send us the url in question. So it appears they don't read emails, else their questions would have been answered. So again we give up.
Perhaps it is just a miscommunication, but some of our stuff is accepted and some is not. There does not appear to be a set reason we can figure out. Since some of our stuff is shown we are grateful for that at least, and thank them for the bandwidth. However, we do not focus on them as a primary upload site as we did, given the work and lack of results that are involved. We basically focus elsewhere and if we have the time, give Metacafe a try and expect nothing so we are not frustrated by the process.
